The fourth version of this site launched on March 29, 2005. It was the first version with a completely hand-coded, web-standards-compliant front end. For content management, it traded in Blogger for the more robust Movable Type, which ably handled the primary blog (known in V4 as Editorials), reinstated portfolio, and three new sections:
- Daily Haiku, framed around the Dictionary.com Word of the Day
- Ask the Monkey, an absurdist advice column
- Consumption, a running document of what I was reading, watching, and listening to
V4 was the first version to have titled posts, which consequently took on more substance and focus.
